• Use high quality paper to create a good impression
• It should not look cluttered
• Keep the font professional
• Include headings such as Name, Address, Employment
• Aim to target your CV to the job you are applying for
• Always start with most recent employment
• Describe your roles in detail but keep text easy to read
• Keep your CV to two pages
• You will need to provide proof of qualifications so do not alter the truth
• Account for any gaps in your CV such as travel
• Highlight your achievements and outside activities
• Check your spelling and grammar
• Keep a copy for your files to read and take to your interview
